As well as a search on here look for the Jersey Tourism web site, they have a section on camp sites.

Can recommend beuvelande camp site. They do ready erected tents which we used in 2003 then went back two years on the run with our trailer tent.Clean loo's,showers, small bistro on site,'family' entertainment most nights but all over by 11pm.Handy for the zoo and beaches, also decent pub about 15-20mins stroll away.We now have a large van that is too big for the seacat fast ferry and OH wont go on freight ferry as it takes 9 hours to get to Jersey from poole or weymouth so doubt we shall be returning for a few years yet(until kids stop coming with us and we have smaller van)

Looking at booking Rozel for a couple of weeks in our folding camper in July (has to be school holls)  Been quoted £858 including the ferry.  We were looking at driving or taking the Motorail to Italy, but the Euro exchange rate has put that on the back burner for the time being.  Have read the reviews & it sounds good - if expensive to get there!  It would probably be cheaper in a pre-erected tent, but we are planning staying at a couple of sites on the way down/back up from/to Durham.  Has anyone any tips/suggestions for activities or things to see or do whilst there?

Steve.

Jersey is fab island - and with LOADS to do!

the Underground Hospital - a 2nd world war museum, giving a gripping account of the island under occupation. A must of a visit!

Gorey (St Orguiel (sp?) Castle. Views cross to France on a clear day. A good climb (sensible shoes) up from the beautiful little village and harbour.

St Elizabeth Castle - out in the channel. Walk across at low tide ot toake the amphibious yellow Duck.

Jersey Zoo - not been but would like to on my next trip.

WWII Gun sites, great views again!

Jersey Pearl - chose an oyster and have the pearl set in pendant or similar

St Helier - great for (window) shopping - very cosmopolitan and attractive. Flowers arond the town in the summer fab. Howard Johnson Park just out of the centre is nice for a stroll, with a cafe doing great brakfast/lunch. Park also has events during the summer.

Loads of good beaches, grat walking, pretty lanes, great food. Island just 9 x 5 miles - packed with stuff!

For a day off - take the ferry to St Malo, medical walled town on coast of Brittany. VERY expensive - but so worth a visit.

Enjoy!
