Does anyone know any sites in Wales, Lakes, Derbyshire areas where you can pitch for  two or  three consecutive weekends and leave your caravan on the pitch midweek for a reduced fee? Tight for time off this spring/summer so thought we could try this and just make the most of the weekends.  Off peak would be fine as we don't need school holidays

I can't say for sure but I doubt any site would let you pitch for 3 weeks without paying full whack. After all if your on a pitch then they can't let it to someone else.

The only thing I could suggest is somewhere that also does storage. So you can pitch for the weekend store it thru the week  and pitch at the weekend.

OR if they do seasonal then maybe you/they could do it monthly.

You could pitch for 21 days at a CC site but you can't leave you van un occupied so that's a no goer.

Best bet it to look at sites you like and phone them and ask.

Hope these suggestions help in some way.

Not in your areas but there is a site at Norton Disney in Lincolnshire that used to do it. http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/results3.asp?search=norton+disney&by=town

Would suggest sending a few emails to sites you fancy, you never know with the way things are they may well do you a deal to guarrantee a pitch being used.

This is a lovely site in Anglesey. Lovely family too and they do nightly storage. I am sure you would be able to sort something out with David if you give him a call.

I know of a site nr Filey that would let you do that . I think he charges something like £5 a week storage and proper fees when you are there. He also pull your van onto a pitch ready for you coming.

Thanks everyone, that's great. We went to Lower Lacon years ago and enjoyed it so will give them a call. And all the others you mentioned :)

Contact the sites and ask if they have a monthly charge, some private (not CC or C&CC) sites do offer this facility out of season, not sure they would do so in high season though. Phone and ask and ask for either e-mail with details or details in writing.
