Please could anyone help me finding some information about beach camping in the northeast of england. Think of Northumberland area or there abouts. Would only be 1 or 2 nights.

Im not sure on beach camping, but look at the campsire in Beadnell. Close to the sea, Beadnell, Seahouses also Bamburgh. Great site, clean, cheap and easy to get to.
Hope this helps?
------------- Too much time spent abroad. F/A stands for flight attendant by the way!
I went to the Goswick Sands site (it's called Beachcomber) in 2007. It's a bit basic but good as Rik says, and the (enormous) beach is a couple of minutes walk over the dunes.
One thing we loved about the site is it feels incredibly remote (it's a the end of a road and you drive through a golf course to reach it) but is only 10 minutes drive from the A1 so very accessible. Near to Berwick so supplies are near at hand, which is just as well because the very small shop is only open for about 2 or 3 hours a day.
The owners are very friendly and there are stables attached so you can go riding if that's your thing.
