Hi Dave
We stayed at Brynich last year for a couple of nights. Fab site, well run and wonderful views from most pitches.
Dog walk on site (although very muddy last year!!). They say there's a doggie friendly pub within walking distance but it's a grotty place. The Barn Restaurant (next to the site) is lovely though. You can't take dogs in though unfortunately. Food in the evenings was expensive but lunches were great.
The walk into Brecon is easy and flat, along the canal towpath. Plenty to see and do 'in town' for a day. Plenty more to explore along the canal in the other direction too.
Can't help with where else to visit coz we didn't move our camper, just stayed local.
If you want to check out some of our photos from the site and Brecon go to our blog and the September 2007 section.

Enjoy Brecon and the surrounding area.
