We're looking at booking here for our main holiday this year. I have had a look at their website and the park map and pitch sizes.
Some of the pitches are huge but are they necessarily the best pitches? And do they have views at all? You really can't tell from the map
Our caravan is around 20-21ft inc the A frame and we will probably put up either our full sized awning or a porch awning. We have 2 dogs so don't want to be too far from the dog walk. As we don't have children we don't need to be near the pool or play park.
Can anyone recommend a nice pitch?
Thanks

Last year we pitched up on 64, which is a grass pitch but huge and nice and level + it has nice distant views of the sea. This year we are on 3 which is hardstanding with equal views. Any of the pitches 1/60 will be good. if you opt for a pitch to the left of the map, ie numbers in the 80s to 100s you will have a fairly steep walk up to the toilets etc and not as nice a view.
I was looking at the pitches over to the far left of the map as they're quite large but they're also numbered from around 97 onwards. We're not too worried about a walk to the toilets / washblock as we can use our own onboard facilities if we need to. Although a view's nice
I'll have a look at the pitches you mentioned.
Hope the weather's good for you when you go in May.

Im crossing everthing, and hoping it will be great, coz its a long pull for two weeks of rain, you will enjoy it, the site is REALLY nice, and you will find loads to keep you amused. Just be a bit careful on the road from St austell to the site, its got one or two tight bits that come up a bit quick. Have a lovely time.

Yes, it's got good reviews and the prices are really good for June. We've previously stayed at Pentewan Sands but can't take the dogs there hence looking for a dog friendly site in the area.
If our Winter's anything to go by maybe we're in for a good Summer this year? .... here's hoping as hubby wants to use his kayak this year!
Thanks for the advice - hubby will be towing anyway.

Will avoid pitch 113 then. We had a bad experience at a park in Northumberland in July last year. We had a fully serviced pitch with hardstanding - it rained overnight and totally flooded our awning out.
I must admit I check campsite reviews very carefully now.
Thanks for that yorksbabe

Looking forward to our first camping trip to Tregarton Park, and indeed Cornwall, in a couple of weeks. Have booked pitch 60 for the tent and wondered if I had chosen wisely or not?

Not sure what tight bits you refer to. We use this site and love the easy access to it. Decent roads all the way.
