We use this site a lot. Linwater is about 8 miles from South Queensferry. I guarantee you won't get a friendlier welcome or find a cleaner toilet block.
i live about 10 mins from linwater ,it is the nicest in the area there is one at ratho and one in linlithgow also becraigs one is close. there is a site in blackburn called mosshall its open all year but basic[very]
thanks everyone for your help, based on your recommendations and its good reviews, I think we will try and book Linwater. Its good to hear there are clean showers so we can scrub up for the wedding we are going to during our stay!!
actually thought that beecraigs was the site in linlithgow
that site at linwater looks awfy good though, but as someone posted sites in the area right through to dunfermline are few and far between especially across the water in fife, there is a cc cl at saline and riverside at dollar and that is yer lot
Beecraigs is close to Linlithgow, but locally we class it as Bathgate.
There is a small site in on the road out of Linlithgow towards Bo'ness.
As for Fife the Caravan Club has the excellent Balbirnie Park site at Markinch. Takes us just an hour to get there from West Lothian, probably 20 minutes from Dunfermline. There are a number of CL's too.

20 minutes from dundermlike that is half an hour from knockhill.
I am fortunate if i am at the track I can park in the paddock for the weekend, then talk very very nice to one of the big race rigs that has a genny to see if I can plug in. they all like to help the marshals :-)
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
