Hi

i've just looked at this site as we're trying to find a site near a lake, i'm thinking of buying an inflatable kayak for the kids.

this looks pretty close to the lake, but there are no reviews, so just wondered if anyone knew anything of it?

oh and any advice on inflatable kayaks would be welcome

thanks

Dont know about High Bridge End but Park Foot at Pooley Bridge is right on the lake side (Ullswater)

The site has just about everything but a little pricy.

Hi Howster.

I camped at "Bridge End Farm" July last year, very nice small quiet site, Toilet/Washblock was immaculate, not sure this could be the same site, as I do not remember it as "High Bridge End Farm", the site was located at the Northern end of lake Thirlmere just of the A591 after the B5322 fork, the lake must be close, probably 1000 yards away or so, I did not notice if the site backed onto the lake, in fact it more than likley dosn't, there is a Pub/Hotel not far away maybe 1500 yards South from the campsite down the A591, certainley walking distance, the site itself was grassy cut short and level, with plenty of drainage, and maybe only a half dozen statics, maybe 40 touring pitches or so, did not notice if EHU was available.there is another site were the Pub/Hotel is at Thirlspot, I have camped there also, back in 2007, handy for the Pub, but the "Bridge End Farm" site is a much better campsite.

Also coniston hall campsite at coniston is next to the lake.
