Hi

May Half Term

Could anyone recommend a campsite in Dorset for a group with children.  We all have tents.  There are 8 adults and 6 children ... we are looking for a site with plenty of room for the kids to play football etc and that is not lights out at ten but yet is not rowdy .... with good toilet and shower facilities.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We have stayed at Newlands campsite in Charmouth.

It was very good. some road noise, but you soon got used to it and didnt notice after a while.

Toilet etc. were very clean, in fact the whole site was clean tidy and well run.

It's a few years since i've been but Westfleet farm in Weymouth comes to mind. Outdoor pool , small clubhouse and not far from the beaches. It has a large field for ball games.
We used to go regularly and the only criticism of it would be the toilets/showers.
As far as i'm aware they've been modernised but i haven't been since so i can't comment.

If you choose Newlands call them up first as they are on a slope and dont cater for the larger tents.As for the area Charmouth beach is ace for fossil hunting and take your own hammer if you wish to do, little NT building show/tell all about fossils,Ammonite pavement a lyme regis
