Hello all, been camping for a few years now & i am now looking for reccomendations for campsites for my son (11yrs) & I.

Can anyone suggest good sites that have a family friendly approach, a pub which allows kids & a good area for ball games etc.

Any that bring good weather as well as the last 2 years we have been rained out!!

Bobby Shaftoes at Beamish has a lovely friendly Pub onsite as well as allowing kids to play football in certain areas. Very close to Beamish museam. Set in excellent surroundings.

Rudding Park at Harrogate has pub, shop, football area, play ground and outdoor pool (only open during certain months)

I've never been myself, but I gather Ord House at Berwick upon Tweed has good reviews and plenty to do.

It's a lovely area to explore.

Thanks for the suggestions we did have ord house bookmarked so that may be the one of choice for half term then try the others out during the summer.
