we have looked into going here as it sounds like it fits our criteria. but they only accept 6 man tents. ours sleeps just the 4 of us but is an 8+4 berth so we cant go.

glad you managed to find somewhere. we wont be going camping over easter as i cant cope with busy times. probably garden camp.

Yes they did ask about what man my tent was, lucky it is a 6 man outwell iowa, if your talking about your gelert quebec i had one of those last year until the infamous brean winds ripped it to pieces, it is less than a meter longer than mine. I bet you would get away with claiming it to be a 6 man Surely the camp site owners would not have a check list of all makes and models to see what man they are rated at ?
I will look around for you though and see what else is on site.

Just to let you know that there were a couple of hartford xl's on site with porch areas plus at least one other tent that looked to be way over 6 man. I did get some photo's of the site so I will post them and let you have the link.
