Hi! Can anyone help? My husband and I would like to find a campsite that is within walking distance of Dartmouth for the end of May. Thanks in advance.

Not quite walking didtance but hop on a bus (Just outside) at Woodlands or Hill Head? (I am staying here in June with friends who have stayed before.) Last night we had a get together and discussed getting on a bus from Hill Head then across to D'mouth via the foot ferry.
I have been to Woodlands before and there is a bus stop just outside but its a bit of a walk to the entrance/exit of the park. There is also a park and ride about 3 miles away.
Havent been there yet. Off in July. There have been a lot on here that have been and it was all positive so I'm sure we'll have fun. (What ever the weather LOL)

Thsi is a lovely site. Stayed there last year for 5 days in September. Lots of good reviews. We spent the whole time using the park and ride, ferry, bus and walking.
Deer Park is just about walkable - although quite a distance. You could walk to the park and ride and perhaps get the bus down the hill from this site. I think there may have been a bus stop outside the site as well.
This site was lovely. It was sadly taken over by the C&CC and I have not been back since as its become a little pricey compared to what it was. But we loved it there and had many lovely holidays over 3 summers. Fab sea views from the whole site too.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
