Erm stick your head out of the window, that is about as accurate as it gets! For instance, this weekend it was meant to be better today than yesterday, so far we have had rain most of the morning whereas yesterday we had much more sun!
Go figure, pack for all eventualities and just get on with it.
i wonder the same, we are going fri-mon, north wales, normally whenever i pack the tent up, and my sister comes its cloudy and rainy, when my friend gets her sun glasses out it starts going cloudy, honestly don't follow us.
Thanks Thomsonmum3! Ill remember North Wales...my boyfs Dad has a pad there so guess could always pack up & go to shelter!
Ali, I usually/used to get on with it, but as a ME/CFS sufferer I need dryer/warmer weather to cope better - as wet and chill makes me worse. I do love to camp and refuse to be hampered by a disabling condition which makes some people housebound!
I have my washing out and cloudy but blue skies, dry and warm, sunny spells & breezy weather here at home, maybe I should get on with just camping in the garden!! Lol.
Long range for UK (Sky News) says unsettled weather for much of UK, Central some showers maybe chilly. Hmmm...do I go or stay?
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Trembles didn't mean it to come across in a harsh way, I meant just get on with it in the sense of work around it, do indoorsy things when it rains and outdoors when it's dry etc.
I use www.netweather.tv but in all honesty don't find any of them accurate, sometimes not even 24 hours ahead!

I know you didnt mean it harshly! Lol.. I had to explain myself I guess as I come across as "wet" or daft to some!
English weather is a chore at the best of times, but when my hopes are dashed by a mis-predicted report it makes me feel really bad, as often trapped in the same old routine.
Hey ho...maybe next week, or try find a flysheet for my tent ad spray the skin with Nikwax!

Hey, does anyone have a clue which part of the UK is going to have the best camping weather this week coming?
My aim is to go Weds, Thurs & Fri to miss the bank holiday madness.
Well on Thursday it will rain hard on the m6/M5 as far down as Tewkesbury and will be a raging storm over tewkesbury for the night. On Friday the M5 down to taunton will be deluged and then the storm will stettle on top of the Chard area where it will stay till Saturday 8th May when it will move to Tewkesbury again where it will pour down for two days solid. Then on Monday 11th May the sun will come out and shine down from Blue skies with little or no wind until the middle of June.
All that is based upon previuos experience, when we go away at this time of year it always rains on us and the rest of the country get lovely wheather.
