i have asked this before but can't find the link ......do any of you know any sites near railways for hubby to take take photos and if possible with wildlife for me. any area will do north prefered

Well Burrs CC site has a track at back of site, trains every 3/4 hour diesel and steam, good site as well.

I stayed in Goathland a few weeks ago.

Home of ITV's Heartbeat, Harry Potter railway station and the North Yorks Moors railway.

You can also "camp" in a converted railway carriage at the station.

I stayed at Abbots House and the railway goes through the bottom part of the site.

CC's Seaview site at Berwick upon Tweed backs on to the East Coast Main Line (Royal Border Bridge is close by too). Lovely site with a view out to sea - we were there for Easter. The railway line was literally less than 10m from our caravan! Lots of reviews on this site...

Blue anchour bay near minhead has the steam railway running past the site i think its a hobourne liesure site .
