i'm looking to book a break now for christmas whilst i have some money. we are taking our tourer with awning and there are 7 of us in our group two adults and 5 children.
we are not fussed where we go just looking for a site with entertainment and possibly a christmas dinner .....
Whitemead in the Forest of Dean is open for Christmas I think- I have not actuallly camped there but but have used the facilities with the kids quite a lot as my ex MIL is a member--it gets great reviews on here and has lovely facilities- pool, restaurant etc. Worth a look? Sarah
Whitemead should be open, we talked to loads of people on the site and they go for xmas every year, they take decorations and everything, it closes new years day. We went last August.
another option is somewhere like Blackmore - not sure if they do christmas dinner, BUT a lovely pub - The Hanley Swan - may well, & is about 1 mile walk away - site open all year too (well C&CC sire is anyhoo!!)
------------- Bringing up baby to be a seasoned caravanner - we bought one to holiday cheaply - working well so far - & caravanners are lovely - helped us on our virgin voyage & our awning!!!
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
