Hi all, we are going to Padstow 10th June, with our trailer tent and two Cavalier King Charles spaniels, staying at Denis Cove, its our first trip this year and cant wait. Is anyone else heading that way at the same time?

Well the majority of restuarants are pricey but seem very nice for a quality meal, however we did the Camel trail on push bikes and eneded up in Bodmin, we where then advised to take lunch at Bodmin Jail which is now a themed pub and I must say is you take a trip to Bodmin, this is very worth taking a look at as the food and surroundings are great.

we are still looking forward to getting away we shall look out for the expensive ones, though it would be an experience to taste the elite once, we shall see.
whats the Camel trail like OH want to take her bike?
The Camel Trail is just fantastic for cycling. We have done it many times. We hired bikes from Wadebridge and cycled into Padstow. As you arrive in Padstow there is a cycle park, so you can park and lock up the bike and spend all day in the town. It is a really lovely town. Lots of shops, pubs, restaurants, mini golf, crab fishing, boats........I am soooooooooooooooooooo jealous.I love Padstow. Catch the ferry across the estuary to Rock and Daymer Bay. It is MUCH easier than trying to get there by car. Actually bike is the best way to get into Padstow. The lanes are narrow, parking for cars is non existant after 10am in the morning as it gets so busy.
The other way up the Camel Trail takes you all the way to Bodmin, and beyond. All flat and easy cycling, we have done it with small children. I could go on all night about this, so I will stop before you die of boredom, or I start to cry as I am not going to Padstow this summer.
are there campsites with access to the Camel Trail? I have been looking at Trewince Farm Park. We love using our bikes on holiday and as we have a large MH cycling is far easier than moving the MH.

Try taking the bus from Padstow to Newquay, we did this a couple of weeks ago and got front top of a double decker. Just could not believe the tiny single track roads it used, scenery was great and it was very interesting ride just to see the horror on the faces of some motorists to be comfronted by a double decker, fortunatlly with a very good driver who could squeeze past with millimeters to spare!!!
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
