Hi - I would suggest that you find an empty coffee jar now, and then start putting your spare 20p's in as you go. In that way you won't be frantically searching pockets/back of sofa, etc a couple of days before you go! That's what I've done in the past. I think the tumble dryers take 20ps too, if I remember correctly (haven't been there sinc 2006, so I may be wrong on that one)
------------- Treat others as you would like to be treated yourself!
Yup 20p for a shower. Loadsa time to do what you need to, and it helps keep the q's down too.
Edit............it seems to have changed since I was there last in 2007.....
New Showers for 2008: As part of our continuing programme of improvements, this week sees the installation of new showers. The showers, which will be free of charge, are on an infra-red system and they will operate on a minute cycle. We all have a role to play in conserving water therefore, it is vital that Trevornick plays its part in trying to help the environment. We are always looking at ways we can become greener as well as more sustainable. We hope to attain the 'Gold' Green Tourism Business Scheme Award later this year. We already hold the 'Gold' David Bellamy Conservation Park Award.
A minute! must practise washing my hair in under a minute then LOL!!!!! We had similar showers like these at the Haven site we were at last year and it was rather irritating how they kept cutting out after only a small amount of time!
Loving the warm weather at the mo..............
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Weve used simular showers at Unity Farm and I don't know anyone apart from my kids who could have a 1 min shower (allergic to being clean i think), but we found them great just like showers at the swimming pool really, you just keep waving your hand in front of the infa red.
At least you won't be head full of suds and have to go looking for a 20p
No as of last year with a revamp of shower blocks they are free 20p is bad but a northam farm they wanted 50p! Trevornick is a good site with beach and choice of pubs / eating within walking distance and places on site dogs have 2 fields so all campers with them are together.
The showers are apparently infra-red so surely the 1mn is "one run" as if using a push button shower... They just can't give you just 1mn showers, how would they know it's a new person in there.??
But I figure it might get annoying having to step out/in of the shower every 60s to get it going again..
It also says "we are a no pet park" which puts me off straight away. Even if we didn't have a dog it makes them seem stuffy.
With the 1 minute showers how long do you have to wait for your next minutes worth????
That is totally wrong, Trevornick is extremely dog friendly, with two whole fields to exercise your dogs, and two of the camping fields dedicated to dog owners, which I think is fair enough, although we're dog lovers we appreciate that not everyone is.
Re the showers, you don't have to actually shower in one minute, you just push the button again. Means you're not wasting water while you shampoo your hair etc. Seems sensible enough to me.

We have these "infra red" showers at the local pool. It's really not the issue that this thread seems to be making it out to be!!! You just wave your hand over the button (it is just like the more old-fashioned push button type except for hygiene reasons, you don't have to touch it - just wave your hand over it, like those electronic toilet flushes you see in motorway service areas) and the water starts again. It really isn't a problem, you won't even notice it. I have 10 minute showers after swimming - I just wave my hand over the button 10 times.
