I'm wanting to camp next month near the coast with hub and our dog. was thinking of robin hoods bay, north yorks. but then it occurred to me that maybe dogs are not allowed on beaches at this time of year. does anybody know the rules of the beaches around robin hoods bay with regard to dogs. or of any other campsites that have dog friendly beaches nearby, preferably within 3 hours drive of leeds/wakefield.

The beach at Robin Hoods Bay allows dogs all year round.  All the beaches on the North Yorks coast have doggy friendly areas.  In fact, it's only the three main beaches (Whitby, Scarb, Filey) who have any dog free areas. 

Have fun, it's a lovely part of the coast

thank you for your reply. will stick with our plans now i know that. i heard hooks house is supossed to be a good place to camp so we'll be trying there.
