53 views and no responce??? i must say we stop in a tent. facilities wise all we really require is electric hookup, some where to shower etc maybe some ,kind of basic play ground for the kids, hopefully something interesting or scenic to visit near by any ideas???
we are in the westmids so preferably somewhere south of the midlands but this isnt essential as we do like to explore, near a beach would be nice or within 2 or 3 miles.
thanks ross

There was a longish thread re this with people listing where they had found.
Try the search feature and put cheap in I am sure even if the info is a little outdated you could try looking if they have a website.
ive looked at haven they are half price touring even in the first week of the school holidays sounds good. ive just checked out the search function for cheap just what im looking for thanks again

cheapest we ever stopped on was at melonudrigle (spelling?) many years ago on the west coast of scotland, on the beach, 50p per night, we had no change so they accepted 16p!! but no facilties! we were in a 2 man tent and my mothers borrowed tupperware bowl came in handy during the night, needless to say she didn't want it back!
I'll never forget that one!
I think you can still wild camp in scotland for free, you don't get cheaper than that!!
Loved it then, and it seems from the reviews that they have upgraded the shower block. Prices very reasonable as they charge by the pitch and not by the person. - I think they charge just over your £10 a night, plus £1.50 for hook-up. Very friendly farmer.
Our kids enjoyed 'helping' all the 'Rosy and Jim' boats on the canal, by opening and closing the lock gates, and the site is a working farm so there are animals about.

im all for ruffing it being a long stay carp angler im used to having no facilities lol but the mrs needs her little luxuries and the little one needs sterile bottles so electricity is a must, maybe in a few years we,ll be ruffing it so to speak lol but just not yet
