We stayed on the Isle of wight 2 yrs ago, the site was called Ninham country holidays the site is here; http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=1707

The site was brilliant, lots of space even in August, outdoor pool, games room but no bar (which suits us)

The field we were on had vans around the edge and a few in the middle with plenty space for football, cricket etc.

You beat me to it! I was going to recommend Ninham!  Its is my fave all time site.  We have been in mid August a few times and once in mid June. In mid June the site was almost empty! In August it is full but we love this site because even when it is full it does not feel full. Its mainly all perimeter camping. The odd few pitches in the middle but the pitches are HUGE!! Its in a lovely country park setting with bunnies hopping by and fishing available. You can walk into Shanklin from the site yet it feels totally out in the countryside. I would highly recommend this site.

We have just got back from Polruan in Cornwall ( Near Fowey). A quiet site and very clean - nice showers etc. Had a view of the sea also.

You simply have to go to Fforest Fields. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
We've been camping for almost 10 years and only found out about this gem this year via UKCS. It is without doubt THE best campsite we've found to date. Ticks all your boxes too.

Try Woodhouse Farm, Winskley, Nr Ripon. We liked it because it wasn't cramped but you can't take a dog into the pub/restaurant on site.
