Hi, we are looking to visit the Wallace monument in Stirling in August but are having trouble finding a campsite nearby, it doesnt have to be IN stirling, as we are willing to drive to monument but somewhere close by, preferably with a shop/pub close by or on site.

Agree, Witches Craig is a good site only a few minutes from Wallace monument. There is a small convenience store, chippy etc at Causewayhead which is just up the road from there. Best chippy is at Bridge of Allen, again just a few minutes drive there are also e few pubs there. There is a great farm shop just along the road from the site (walking distance) which has almost everything you could need. Tesco, Morrisons etc in Stirling are no more than 10 mins drive. The site itself is at the base of the Ochill's with stunning views, clean facilities, good dog walk and very friendly and welcoming owners.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
