Hi i have been looking at  forest holidays, there is quiet a few campsites they have ,can any one tell me which site is the best  for walks direct from the site.or can anyone recommend any other sites in this area, thats not a forest hoilday.

We have camped at the Red Shoot inn. Wasn't a massive site and there is a pub attached (the Red Shoot). However there was a massive power cut the Sat night affecting all the surrounding areas so no food or beer (tills wouldn't work!). Ended up getting a cab into Ringwood.

We used it for cycling - great base with some good circular routes, not too many hills (we aren't made for hills, at least not upward hills!) though there were also some great walks nearby too.

hi weve used the forest holidays site at hollands wood and it was fantastic close enough to town that you can walk and fairly centraly located for getting out and about hope it helps
