I'm planning a trip (first time on my own camping with the kids) and need some help finding a suitable site! We'll be travelling by train and so trying to pack as light as possible so I'm wondering if there are any sites which include a picnic table or similar to each pitch or can be hired? We tend to favour the south-west although anywhere would be considered, within walking distance to a beach/town etc would be great as we'll be on foot! does anyone know of nice sites that might fit the bill?......Also if anyone has any tips on doing it by train/packing light with kids etc, I'd be most grateful :)

I know there is a campsite called Howgill Lodge, near Skipton in North Yorkshire which has picnic tables on each pitch but perhaps not so easy to get to by train and not in the right direction for you...
Tretham Mill, St Mawes have use of picnic tables on many of their pitches BUT it may be a bit out of the way for you armadillo???!!
