Hi

Forgive me if there are other posts covering this exact subject (I couldn't find them).  Can anyone recommend a good Derbyshire (or Nottinghamshire/Leicestershire) site to take a 2.5 yr old to, with a tent?  Would ideally like a nice friendly site with toddler-friendly play facilities (daughter especially keen on baby swings, seesaws!).  Ride-ons etc would be an extra treat.

I know that there are a number of sites with play areas, but not much use if they don't cater for a 2 yr old.

It would also be good if there are child friendly eateries within walking distance.

Thanks!

p.s. have already been to Rutland Caravan & camping so would prefer to try a different area next time.

Pennine,

Important: If you are posting details of a site, please ensure you link to their UKCampsite.co.uk listing, not direct to their website, to enable reviews etc to be read!

Cheers  Ratty

Hi again

Thanks for the suggtestion - the Thorntons Holt site looks reasonable but still not sure how suitable for toddlers it is.

I also like the look of Sherwood Forest Holiday Park - I had already hoped to visit the farm centre at some point this year - and it looks as though it's right next door to the campsite!  Does anyone know if any of the play equipment here is suitable for a 2 yr old? (e.g. baby swings, see saw, small 'climbing' frames, etc)?

Similarly, does anyone know what type of play equipment there is at the Greenhills site or the Rivendale site in Derbyshire?

Thanks!
