Hopefully visiting this campsite next week and would like to visit oxford whilst there. However I have heard oxford is a nightmare to drive to with big congestion problems. Has anyone been? And is the traffic that bad? Would it be worth using park and ride and if so which is the nearest one to the campsite? Any comments, advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Daughter was at uni in Oxford and yes it is always very busy. We used to park in NCP (very expensive) but if going now would only use P & R. Not sure which you would use though as don't know campsite area.

Hi

If you head into Oxford on the A4074, take a left when you reach the ring road (roundabout by Sainsbury’s, should be signposted to A34) then right at the next roundabout, signposted to City Centre, the entrance to Redbridge Park and Ride is immediately on the left. If you intend visiting for any more than a couple of hours this by far the best option as the car parks are expensive and the traffic can be interesting.

Go Outdoors is opposite the exit to the park and ride if you need emergency supplies as well!

Hope you have a good holiday
