Hi, im trying to find a campsite near york that i went to a while ago,

I know for a fact it was near Pocklington, had a park and ride a stones throw away, posible 5 - 10 mins drive away.

It had basic stuff, toilets,showers,freezing compartminets and dog friendly, as i remeber the nice lady owner looking after out dog while we went into york

Any help would be grand!!! Ta

We have stayed here before I think its near Pocklington, but I don't recall a park and ride nearby.

If not I can recommend it.  P&R literally 10 mins away and very well kept site.  We stayed there in late may and the wardens had just started (owners were not new).  Small play area, TV and games room, clean toilets and showers and good wash up and laundry rooms.

Sounds like SOUTH LEA at Pocklington.  As you go along the road from Hull to York you turn right at that motel place on the corner.  Its about 1/2 a mile into Pockington from York.  You're not too far from the Park and Ride maybe 5 mins car of that.  The Lady owner is extremely helpful and there is a dog walking area don't remeber the freezer bit but its been 4 or 5 years since was last there!  But everything else fits!!!!!
