Hi, I have searched, honest, and can't find exactly what I'm looking for. (Shout me down if you like as long as you find what I'm looking for!)

I'm looking for a campsite somewhere within about 2 to 3 hours from Manchester (Anywhere in Wales, Peaks, Lakes, Yorks, Scots borders, we love em all, bring it on!) that has sites for family sized tents (4 to 6 person outwells) but not pitched right up against eachother. But that also is suitable for two under 6's, and possibly, (but not crucially, as my neighbour might take her on) an old small dog. We don't care about electric whatnots or even wunnerful facilities, just a bit of nice space and wildlife.

I am trying to convince my rugged wildlife edge of cliff/mountain camper to join us somewhere. But he won't consider the pile 'em high approach to camp site. Fair enough. There must be a happy medium. Is there?

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!

try the Cae Du in Beddgelert north wales.

they dont believe in over filling the site, pitch where you like, stunning scenery, showers like wet rooms and they dont allow music on site so its always been quite during our trips if you just require space and what mother nature provides im certain you wont be disappointed.

my 9 and 6 year olds love it as much as we do..
