Hi, can anyone recommend a nice small campsite on the coast up in the highlands of Scotland. I`ve had a look at the campsite search, and tried Clacktoll beach campsite unfortunatly no room. Just looking for similar type of site or even smaller site , only need ehu. thanks

If you are looking for a small quiet site then you are more likely to find one without EHU.

invercaimbe is a nice site also we stayed at bunroy at roybridge that was a lovely site .beware of the midges

We really liked Resipole Farm, on the side of Loch Sunart. Again, midge territory though.

Have a look in the Arisaig area, there's 6 or 7 sites along the coastline.

Depends where about in the Scottish Highlands, its a huge area, where you thinking, west coast, east or in the middle?

We were at Clachtoll last year but if we were going up that way again it would be to Achmelvich.

But, for a holiday you would be hard pushed to beat the Ardnamurchan Peninsula.

Try here. Their website says it all.

We spent 10 wonderful days on a CI near Acharicle a few years back when we A-framed a Morris Minor up behind our motorhome and toured the area in the Moggy.

there is the most fantastic site a place called Achmelvich which is 3 miles from Clachtoll and the beach is absolutly amazing, the only prob is they DO not take dogs under any circumstance.
