I've had a quick look and think there are two possible sites north of Leicester (near where I live) which are within 30 mins drive of Leicester.  They are Proctors Park, Barrow upon Soar or Hill Top Caravan and Leisure at Thrussington.  I know very little about either of them but they are within the range you require.

My bro is in special olympics Powerlifting!! We 2 thought about camping out in order 2 c him! Unfortunately we can't have the full week off, so hoping 2 go 2nd half of week!

Hi,

we are going to the opening ceremony just to support everyone as it is only up the road.

I have never been to the two sites mentioned but as they are only a few miles away from us I could go and check them out for you if you want?  I teach so am off for 7 weeks. 

you could list your requirements and I could focus on them. 

Holme Peirpoint is approx 40 mins away.

There is also a new Etap hotel just outside leicester about a 10 min drive, they charge about £32 per room per night - just another option!
