Shardlow Marina,Derby, There are some lovely walks along the river,and allso you have the Marina. 

Just come back from w/e at Riverside nr Stratford on Avon - nice site on the river & easy walk into SoA.

Couple of suggestions but not much in your neck of the woods.

Wigrams in Warwickshire. Further south the C&C club site at Chertsey and if you can venture into Wales Ty Isaf Nr Bala could be worth a try
