I live near them both and would strongly recommend Dacre Lakeside Park. Not only is it right at the side of a decent sized fishing lake but there are also lots more lakes in the area. There is also far more for a visitor to do generally with Hornsea and Bridlington very nearby. There is also a lovely pub within walking distance that does fantastic bar meals and a lovely Chinese restaurant. The managers at the site are incredibly helpful and very child friendly. I would recommend!

Hi everybody, i live in Hull so i know of all these sites but thanks for recomendations, do you know of any slightly further afield say about an hour away from Hull
I'm probably stating the obvious, but have you checked out the Advanced search facility for sites, as it has a 'fishing' selection, would probably click on north yorkshire then you can check out sites near York and maybe even Wykham lakes (between Scarborough and Pickering) although no campsite on site, there are a few sites nearby.
I seem to recall that there is a place at Thorn near Doncaster that does fishing and camping. Sorry I can't recollect the name of it though! You can just about see it off the M62!
