I will be going somewhere near Whitby next week with my 12 rear old son can any one recommend a great campsite that has hock-ups for a largish tent an is reasonably quiet, thanks Ady

I've been trying to book a site around the Whitby to Scarbo' area and have struggled to get a tent pitch with hook-up for this week (wed onwards). I did get offered several without hook up but kept trying and got one on a site near Filey. I hadn't considered the site at first due to the pitch sizes but they tell me they can accomodate my largish tent so fingers crossed. All I can suggest is you look at the reviews and email several via the site links and you will hopefully find one you like. I'm going to Orchard Farm but as I haven't been there yet I can't comment other than it was recommended by a work colleague!

Orchard Farm is lovely.  We live just around the corner and we often take the kids to feed the ducks and run around the play area.  I've used the pool a few times too, it's only small but it's great for a splash about with the kids.  The village is fab with plenty of shops, takeaways etc and Filey is only a mile away by car or a 20 min walk across the fields.  I know I'm biased, but it's a fab area.  Just shout if you want any info
