Hi

My sister has just got back from Waterside House at Pooley Bridge and came away early cos of the midges!  She said there were loads of them and even brought them home with them in the car!! Just wondered if anyone else had this problem as I've been to this area camping in August several times and never noticed a midge problem and I'm booked to go away in a week's time. Just thought I'd warn everyone to take your mosquito repellant!!

We were at Brothers Water up the road about 4 weeks ago and had a problem with the midges, they even came through the mesh in van windows so had to shut them, and gave the van a good dose of fly spray, it seemed to be about 8 oclock ish when they arrived, but were going again on sunday and using my avon stuff and I got a clear lite lamp, see below.

Try a product called "shoo" or tea tree oil on a hat works wonders

Keely, we are camping (in a pod) at Eskdale in Nov, will they still be a problem then?
