We are off to Manor Farm next week and were just wondering if anybody has been to cromer in the last few days and if the problem with ladybirds still exists?, Only news articles i can find on it when googled relate to the start off the month.
We came back from Manor Farm last weekend (8th August) and there were still plenty of ladybirds about. The news said it would probably last 6 weeks, but not sure if that is accurate. Sheringham (4.5 miles) away was Ladybird free & well worth a visit if you haven't been before. Great Yarmouth, further afield was also Ladybird free. If you are worried, why not give Manor Farm a ring & ask them.

Thanks for that, Was Manor farm busy when you went?, we were there for a weekend before the summer holidays and it wasn't too busy liked it soo much are off there again on monday
We went to Manor Farm at the beginning of August. Great place, good value, easy walk down to Cromer and excellent beach. Ladybirds were a bit of a problem but you got used to them. Our girls spent the time trying to find yellow ladybirds and baby ladybirds! It doesn't happen often so enjoy! The wasps were more of a nightmare but then thats the joys of camping. You don't have to go far from Cromer to be ladybird free!
One downside with Manor Farm is the facilities for freezing ice packs! The freezers don't work well and your freezer packs tend to get lost. But it is a small thing for a great place.
Enjoy
We stayed in Wells-next-the-sea for the first 2 weeks of August. Went to Cromer first week and it was a nighmere with millions (yes millions) of ladybirds.
Got much better the 2nd week and local radio reporting from the Cromer Carnival said the masses had gone, only a few left. Wells was basically clear the 2nd week.

To say it was the 6 weeks holiday, it didn't seem too busy. There were lots of people there but we didn''t feel hemmed in, there was still lots of space. We too liked it so much we would like to go again but it's a bit too far for the weekend, that's why we went for the week, but would highly recommend it. Hope you have a nice time. Denise.
We were in Sheringham 2 weekends ago & there were ladybirds but not too bad.
