I'm looking for a site to take 2 berthvan with full awning and a large family tent that joins on to the awning to sleep 2 adults and 5 children (17/15/13/6/3) plus a minibus (knowing alot of sites dont like vans)
now we need a site that has can accomadate us and our gear
my 3 year old son is autistic and can be very loud at times and may get upset due to the change in his routine aswell as being away from his warm bed.
my 13 yr old son has some mild disabilties and is medicated for this but on occastions before meds kick in may have the odd tantrum (where in the past its been known for me to have to restrain him)
my 15 yr old daughter also has some disabilties and on long walks has to retire to her wheelchair
so taking the above in to consideration we would need a livly noisy site(or a site that excepts a litle noise
we can cope without the showers but they do help same for toilet blocks,
ehu helps but again providing we can use a generator we can cope with out
after all of the above are kids are very well behaved all considered but can sometimes seem alittle alarming to others who dont understand.
location isnt inportant as we will travel anywhere UK only due to passport renewals but we also have to consider our other children and find somewhere livly enough to entertain them
a large site has the benefits of us being put out the way but a small site as the equall benefits
oh and something to do in the rain would help
any idea's anyone??

What about Blackberry Wood http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=4663 nr Brighton? I have to say I've never actually stayed there but it sounds lovely & the fact that you can get secluded pitches might be useful? I know there isn't much in the way of entertainment if that's what you were after but it seems to be in a handy location to go & find some fun!
Maybe Park Farm in East Sussex?? Came back from there yesterday and there are 3 huge fields and plenty of room for kids to run around and let off steam - more so weekdays than at weekends, but still very spacious. Also a lively site so noise is acceptable to a degree. Plenty of caravans on site when we were there and not set pitches so loads of room to set up. Site charges per person per night, so no extra charge for cars, gazebos, awnings, tents, etc. We loved the site and will definitely be returning.

Take a look at Bunn Leisure site at Selsey, down near Southampton. My friend went there last month, and was very impressed. There is plenty to do, with pools, arcades, entertainment for kids from tots to teens, and the teen activities start after lunch, not in the morning, like at many sites, which would be useless for your average teenager who finds it hard to wake up in the morning.
She said they own a couple of sites, and if your staying on one of them you have access to the facilities on all sites. She camped, with a large tent, and usually struggles to find sites that will accept it, because it is so big. Thus said, I am sure you will be welcomed there.
Cosgrove leisure park, Northamptonshire, very popular with families, large enough for people not to notice a bit of noise. lots for kids to do,
Skegness Water leisure park, between Ingolmells and Skeg, beach accross road. Large enough to get a space to yourselves, explain your needs when you phone, they will put you in a less formal area, club on site on bus route, play park.
Word of warning, Cosgrove does not accept tents, we found out when we saw their advert in local paper and got all excited. Rang to book for Bank Hol, and they said No Can Do ! ( Their advert omitted that minor detail)
------------- its me again!

you could try Hedley Wood, near Bude, they have a large field with ehu, with loads of space, and its a very laid back site, with a small games room, playground, and a small bar that does meals. I,m sure if you spoke to them they would advise where best to pitch. Bude is about 8 miles away with plenty to do. We took our autistic grandson to Hedley Wood, and he loved it, and made lots of friends. Penny
