Our own particular favourite for many years was Park Foot at Pooley Bridge which overlooks Lake Ullswater.

Nice site but I believe it may have got a bit pricey of late though.

Caravan Club site at Coniston. Not exactly on the lake but only 2 mins walk away

Got to echo Batt's recommendation. The Camping Club site at Derwentwater is excellent. Walking distance from the town centre, on the edge of the lake... Spent many happy weeks there.
