Can someone who has been to Plassey this year help me sort out what’s where?  On the sites website the is a map of the park which shows the super pitches in the Fairway View area but when I look on Google Earth I am sure that this area is some sort of statics or chalets?  Where are the deluxe pitches? Are they worth the extra money?

On Google Earth they do look like chalets but it is an optical illusion. One side of the pitch is paved with reddish bricks the other half is for the awning. From the sky this makes the pitch look like the roof of a chalet with the sun reflecting on one side, but it is an illusion.

Whether they are worth the extra money is really down to you. When we were there we found that this part of the park was not as sheltered as the rest and was quite windy.

Hi all,

Yes the Deluxe pitches are all at least 10mx10m in size, with 1/3 area as paved hardstanding for caravan, 1/3 area is gravel area for awning, and final 1/3 as grass area for your BBQ / topless* sunbathing.

Also on each pitch is 16amp electric, water, waste water disposal, lighting, and now all pitches have Digital TV / Sky TV coax points. Also the pitches are near the main Amenity building, and all offer great countryside views, especially over the Golf Course that is alongside.

We always find the 30 Deluxe pitches sell out quickly for weekends & holidays.....far faster than the Standard pitches. And we also find that once a customer uses a Deluxe pitch, the majority of times he/she will never go back to a Standard Pitch! So in answer to your question, it must be "Yes" that they are worth the extra money.

If you have anymore questions, just call us anytime on 01978 780 277.

Kind regards,

John Brookshaw   MD   Plassey Leisure Park    www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=2053

We used a deluxe pitch and it was excellent but might use a standard next time as they are nearer to the kids play area and can watch the kids play.  Some peple might want to get away from the kids area and superpitches are ideal.

We were at the Plassey earlier this year, a great site and the Super / Deluxe Pitches are the best we have seen made up of 3 sections Paving for the Caravan / Hard Standing for the Awning and a grass area for Relaxing on looking over the Golf Course, Shower Block only a stones throw away., I only wish it was nearer to where we live.

Where do you park the towcar? 17

If you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, just keep going till you go round the bend.
