Can anyone recommend a place where I can hire a static caravan or lodge in the October break, at the south end of Loch Lomond ? My priority booking with the Sun newspaper turned out not to be a priority and now we have no holiday booked.

Lomond Woods holiday park in Balloch. They hire statics and lodges, and I think they have an online availability check.

I haven't stayed there (it's only about a mile away) but I have heard good reports about it.

It might be worth giving them a call.
