Hi
Am sure I've heard it mentioned that there are some Motorway service areas that allow Motor Home night stops.
Do any of you good people have any more info about them......
Cheers

On most motorway service stations free parking is restricted to 2 hours, the overnight charge is quite steep. Better off looking for a local campsite.

Used to be about a tenner to park a lorry at most services Some give you a meal voucher But that was over 5 years go when I came off the road I think there used to be signs in the car parks too saying that so many hours free after that you have to pay TryMotorwayservices Info which is a site dedicated to Mway Svcs

I think the truck stops let you stop over night - for a couple of ££ of course.
I'm sure Tebay (the truck services J38) let you stay over night as they have an over night lorry park behind the building. That's the one you have to leave the M6 for (but only just) not the ones right on the M6
I think the Truck Stop at Carnforth would also let you sty overnight.------------- Keely :-))

Camping and Caravanning Club's Your Big Sites Book lists "last resort" motorway service areas accepting overnight caravan parking. It's nowhere near a motorway, but if you need an overnight stop in Mid Wales Welshpool's town centre car park allows free overnight parking for cars and motorcaravans under 3 tons and only charges £4.40 for heavier motorhomes and cars with any kind of trailer. Pleasant location with (if you pay for an hour or two's daytime parking) the advantage of competing retail outlets rather than being a "captive customer" at a motorway service area

Most motorway services make a charge for overnight parking just the same as they do for trucks, however you usually get a meal voucher in with it.
