We are looking for sites around Ravenglass Cumbria to take our 3 dogs. We have been to 2 sites this year that have been fine, but i have just read that certain breeds are not allowed on sites by law one being sbt's. Our 3 are show dogs and are well behaved and hardly ever bark, talk about give a dog a bad name. Can anyone please help with any sites?
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
I think it's only some sites that don't allow certain breeds of dogs. I've never heard that it's an actual law though. Think it's more up to the site owners.
Personally I see nothing wrong with sbt's at all they are very friendly dogs. We had two lovely ones on site last weekend.
I would just pick a site you like the look and sound of and read their terms and if it allows dogs and doesn't specify certain breeds are banned then you'll be fine
It's usually the ones on the dangerous dogs list they ban.
The only site I saw with any sort of dog ban was Ord House in Berwick - it has a long list of rules.
One of the sites we went to said they normally only let 2 dogs per pitch but after speaking to them they said it would be fine, so i think that it's a good idea to give them a quick call. Just think i paniced after what i read today as so much bad press about sbt's at the moment. Thanks for all the advice
