Dear All,

Can anyone recommend a good touring caravan site in mid wales? needs to have easy access and something for kids to do (11 year old).

Any information greatly appreciated.

Have a look at Pencelli Castle at Brecon. This is a lovely site. Also Brynich in the same area.

Both have excellent web sites.

People speak very highly of both, I've been to Pencelli and would go again.

Only you know what your 11 year old likes so by having a look at the websites, you should get some insight.

Have checked out Fforest fields - looks lovely, my only concern is that most visitors appear to be campers so I'm just wondering what the towing/access conditions are like getting to this site. We have a 24ft caravan to tow.... Has anyone towed without problems/are the roads around this area suitable for towing....

we tow a large twin axle, and hubby had no problems, and their are extra large pitches available for large vans etc. Only problem we had was our sat nav sent us to the wrong farm.

Try Bishops Meadow also in Brecon that is a very well kept site with good shower facilities. We have stayed at Brynich many times and cant fault it. We actually bought our caravan off a man that sited it at Forest Fields and that is 23 foot and we had no problems with the roads etc.

Fforest fields has a lot of caravans too, the pitches are large, the roadways through the site are wide and well made. Don't think you'd come across any problems.

Fforest Fields is fab for caravans lots of hard standing areas and the pitches are very big
