We did North Wales/Snowdonia just last month. Stayed on some cracking sites. ALL doggie friendly of course for our boy.
1st one was an adults only site too (bonus!) just outside Conwy with the most fantastic views from our pitch.
Would highly recommend Riverside at Betws-y-Coed (CC affilliated).
Barmouth, for us, has the most fantastic views of all but we stayed at Hendre Mynach for the 3rd time but think the overall state of the site has gone downhill.
Check out our blog for photos taken from Tyddyn-Du, etc.

Beddgelert Forestry Commission site - beautiful! But don't go in midge season, which appears to be May/June because they're horrendous. We had a lovely weekend spoilt at the beginning of June this year because of them.
Riverside is desperately expensive.
If you stay in Snowdonia, you can do a lot of that side of North Wales within roughly half hour to hour trips.

2nd vote for Beddgelert Forest site. We have just returned from there and had the most fantastic time. The site is beautiful, filled with loads of wildlife(thanks to the little squirrel who helped themself to my french stick) Lovely walks for the dogs and close by to some lovely beaches - Blackrock sands is a must! Another must, take rock pegs, so glad we did, not like the silly man who turned up at the end of the week and blamed the wardens for the hard ground!! I did point out to him if he had of researched the site he would have read these were a must! Wouldn't hesitate to return, we stayed on the Premium tent piches with electric hook-up, but as there are only 6 of these booking is highly recommended.
Thanks guys . We've currently got a Forest Experience Card and had considered Beddgelert although we will probably need to renew this if we decide on this site as it runs out in June.
About to have a look at Nantcol Waterfalls....

Hi Mrs E, I'd second Kernow Camper's recommend for Tyddyn Du just outside Llandudno. I spent a week there in august, and I'd definitely recommend it. Pam has a great wee site there and it's very well looked after. Dog friendly, with an exercise area. Adults only site as previously mentioned. The Gladstone pub is a couple of minutes from your pitch, it's practically beside the site entrance gate. The village is 5mins walk away with a post office and chippy, then a footpath to a bridge over the A55 to the beach. With EHU on all pitches, and an excellent central facility block, it ticks all the boxes.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
