Hi Having just bought an old caravan for next year ,we were hoping to find a site in the Midlands, Peak District area where we could leave the van so all the family could go and stay. Our needs are fairly basic a toilet and shower and maybe hook up . We not a member of any caravan clubs if that make a difference.Has anyone got any ideas please. It has to be within about 2hrs from Leicester as husband has a bad back so doesn't travel well,Thanks.

How cheap is cheap? There are plenty of cl's in farmers fields etc where you would usually pay £5-6 pound a night or around £100-150 for a 4 week stay. Depends if you want any entertainment, etc at night or just peace and quiet.
you will need to join one of the clubs to use a CL or CS site and there will be many more in there listings that are on here, lots of fields behind pubs, fields in a farm etc etc. many with electric many without but all these types of sites only allow 5 vans at a time, so peace and quiet is usually guaranteed!
The joining fee of around £35/yr will soon be saved with the cheap per night pitches on CS's/CL's
try pillaton hall penkridge £15 a night for a family with awning elecrtic etc great site but i don't think you can book till next year check them out on here Andy
