Hello Everyone

Firstly Happy new year to you all

Secondly we are going to somerset for our usual 2 week holiday end juy/early aug this year, and in the middle we are wanting a 3 day break in the tent, south cornwall somewhere really nice campsite, lovely views etc but reasonably priced.

Now it must be somewhere not near a big town, but not at lands end. but near the sea and must have a pier or somewhere where we can go crabbing, big ask i know but never been to cornwall so need your help folks.

Thank you

Dave

Dave in August the prices are high - check this site as they charge the same all year - most unusual for Cornwall. Coverack should be good for crabbing.

I'll 2nd that.  Although if you're going the end of July/August you'll have to watch the prices although they'll be much cheaper than some in the area I expect!

Tregarton Park's lovely - went there for 1st time last June. Big pitches and only a short drive to local beaches.  They also have an outdoor swimming pool if the sun shines!!!

One of our best value for money sites, is out just outside Looe, West Waylands caravan park, last year in august we paid 16.00 pound per night,2 adults,2 children,1 dog and electric. The website photos are very old, the site is clean and there are some sea views ,if you book early . Looe is brill for crabbing .Polperro is five minutes in the other direction. The site is well worth the cheap price,a little gem. Theres no club  or pool but thats how we like it. Only one prob, Looe and Polperro are very busy, but it is August. We have been down there early in the year, and that is perfect.
