OK for a bit of party time and meeting people, and I certainly enjoyed my stay there last summer.
Lovely ideal spot, just on the shore; but I’m not sure if it’s the place for you and your students i.e. it aint “quiet”.
Edit: dam my spelling
Maybe not a good idea then - I've only ever been to Park Coppice.
Friends have been to Coniston Hall with their 5 children and enjoyed it.
Park Cliffe is a good site and has a stream and hills and is just up the road from Bowness.
Does Wild Rose at Appleby still have a tent field?
------------- Keely :-))
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
My friends have a small site and they regularly take groups on their Duke of Edinbugh camping. Not at all all singin and dancing but basic shors and toilets.
It's at Bowberhead, Ravenstonedal. 7 miles from J38 of the M6 near Kirkby STephen not far from Sedburgh. They own the Classic Coaches which do trips to Hawes every Tuesday and Barnard Castle on Wednesdays (would be good trips out)
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
