Hi all,
After buying a tent errrmmm 6+ years ago and never using it we have now decided that it is time to bite the bullet and go for it.
We are looking to go somewhere close-ish to home (Liverpool) say within 1-2 hours drive away.
It also has to be suitable for the kids (5 & 2). We are hoping to go around the 7th June. Can anyone suggest any nice sites?
Also if anyone wants to come along and help us put up the tent.......lol
Also what equipment would you suggest we get?

Hi for campsites try the campsite search on here, they have a map search so you can put in where you would like to be and it will give you all sites in the vicinity along with reviews.
This is our 3yr camping can't quite believe it although they do say time flies when having fun lol! I am excited about getting away camping now as I was when I started.
Be prepared its very addictive and can make a serious dent in your wallet lol!!
Enjoy your trip!

Kasglass I looked at the Southport one and it says no tents.Would have been ideal as well seeing as its about 30mins away lol.
Deffo going to get the tent out and have a go at putting it up in the garden a few times.
I'm getting quite excited about the idea of using it now lol
my kids love greenacres farm park in north wales, so much so we have camped here for the last 4 years, last year for the whole 6 weeks, its only 40 mins from the wirral, so much to keep your kids occupied, and you will be happy to know we all help put up tents if you are struggling, i have already booked june half term, your kids will love the freedom, the animals etc, honestly dont be put of by some of the reviews, if you ask for the small side then you will be fine, (the large field does get crowded and noisy), but last year they brought out a 11pm curefew which was adhereed to and many got chucked of for being rowdy.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
