Hi,
We've only stayed in the Lakes 4 times. Holgates is a little South of the main lakes, about 30 minutes, but has a pool and other excellent facilities. It's not within walking distance of a town.
The CCC site at Keswick is right in Keswick, but doesn't have a pool. Good site though, right on the Loch, sorry Lake.
We stayed at Park Cliffe in October there. It's 2 minutes from Bowness on Windermere, in a car. Not really a good road to wak on. It doesn't have a pool, but has a large playarea, excellent facilities and a wee pub.
Sorry, but that's my experience of sites in The Lakes so far and none of them meet your criteria exactly, They are all good sites though and all have websites.
