Has anyone got any recommendations of a site in South Ayrshire? There's one called Glen Afton but I can't find out much about it. Anyone been there?

Anywhere that will take dogs and has an area for the dogs to run. Also has to have quiet secluded areas or big enough to set up not to close to others, as the dogs are excitable with others. Facilities don't have to be brilliant.

Culzean Castle C&C site is a favourite of ours and gets good reviews here.  Good walk to the beach and fantastic sunsets.

I agree with feeblecat Culzean Castle is a great site with fantastic sunsets over Arran,Walled Garden campsite near Maybole is another good site in that area.Its worth going a bit further south and visiting Dumfries and Galloway;its got some really good campsites and lovely beaches.

absolutely, if you are prepared to go to Dumfries and Galloway there are fantastic sites.

you also have heads of ayr campsite, has clubhouse and eatery and a farm park. right on the coast so views to die for but 1st thing the wind hits will be your tent

C&CC site at culzean gets the thumbs up too
