Might have chance at the begin of May to go off with some friends of ours. Our lad and their lad are in the Scouts and they are away at camp that weekend.
We fancy somewhere not too far away as we want to see them off on the Friday before we go. We would like somewhere near a village or a couple of pubs.We might have a dog with us so a dog friendly pub would be nice.
Thought about Grassington or Skipton or somewhere similar.

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=7696 Muker - we stayed here a couple of years ago. It's pretty basic but lovely, there's a good walk from the site & a really good pub in the tiny village down the road (only one pub I'm afraid but so good it wouldn't matter).

Riverside Camp Site at Connonley near Skipton
Eshton Road Camp Site ,Gargrave
Hooks House Camp Site, Robin Hoods Bay
Scarborough Camping and Caravan Club (Scalby Mills Inn nearby is very dog friendly)
Beacon House,Flamborough
Wharfedale Caravan Club Site
The Pheasant Inn at Harmby
The Old Station at Masham
All the above sites are within walking distance of Dog Friendly Pubs but I agree with Blongs, Masons is a great site and the New Inn used to let dogs in but it has changed hands so I would check first if they still let dogs inside.
I'd recommend Masons at Appletreewick in the Yorkshire Dales (not too far from both Skipton and Grassington!). There are 2 good pubs within 5 min walk and the site is right next to the River Wharfe.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
