Hi TonyM

Not sure on this site but there are plenty of good sites in and around Cheddar and Wells which are only a short distance from Glastonbury

Regards

John

TonyM..

We've been a few times and think it's great little site and ideal for walking into Glastonbury(10+mins).

The pitches are hardstanding/gravel,in amongst grass and are fairly well spaced and the loos and showers are good..

There's lovely little chippy on the walk into town(..Knight's?),which has a nice seating area around the back(..stone floor & woodburning stove)and serves proper cider!

(..Just realised that as I'm probably one of those who left a review,I'm probably just repeating myself.. )

Chris

I visited the site for a weekend last year and can confirm it is only 10 minutes walk from the town. It is a nice site and probably great for caravans but when I went the tent camping field was a total quagmire. Those that tried to camp ended up knee deep in mud (literally). I drove onto the camping field when I first arrived and had to be towed off again. I and others ended up camping on the lawn of the owners bungalow next to the gate...very nice of them but not what I had in mind. I certainly wouldn't go there in a tent if there has been any heavy rain over previous days.

The next nearest site to Glastonbury is the Old Oaks which is adults only. A very nice site but quite a treck into the town.
