Were looking to visit Derbyshire (Buxton or simular) in June and was wondering whether someone could recommend a good site for family of 4

Try the CC site at Buxton. You can walk through the woods to the town.------------- Two drifters off to see the world.

lickpenny is good but if you have young kids golden valley is fantastic.

We regularly visit Rivendale, very good standards but a little pricey in comparison to some. Takes Camping Cheques though on selected dates.

Callow top at ashbourne is a site for everyone,close enough to walk into ashbourne,and right on the tissington trail,good play area and most importantly an excellent bar/restaurant------------- :D It Takes 2 To Tango

I have booked Golden Valley for a few days in April, can't awit as it looks great and the chap on the phone was very friendly. My friend stays at Lickpenny which looks good too.------------- If you see 2010 Hobby Prestige 720 UKFE twin axel 30ft caravan it may be mine.... it was stolen.

Chatsworth CC site if you are a member, good facilities and beautiful suroundings, Kids farm and adventure playground down at the house plus a farm shop selling delicious top quality foods.

Lickpenny is another good site...but i think is more adult orientated...
